Scottish Water awards £110m+ technical consultancy contracts

Scottish Water has awarded  a number of contracts for technical consultancy support worth an estimated  £110 million-plus.

 The water company has entered into a number of framework agreements for the provision of technical consultancy support services to provide assistance with the development and delivery of its investment programmes.

The work will cover improvement works associated with all of the utility’s water and wastewater assets across Scotland, including new assets, renewals, modification, maintenance, refurbishments, extensions and enhancements to existing assets.

Rps Group Plc, Atkins, Mott Macdonald, MWH UK, Turner & Townsend, Aqua Consultants Ltd, Arcadis Consulting (Uk) Ltd and Chandlerkbs have all won a place on the framework.

Rps Group Plc, Atkins, Mott Macdonald, MWH UK, have all won places on Lot 1 to provide the majority of Scottish Water’s technical consultancy support from 2015 to 2021, and potentially out to 2027. Annual spend per annum is estimated to be in the region of £18 million, with a total spend of around £110 million over the first 6 year regulatory period.

Mott Macdonald has also won a place on Lot 3 of the framework alongside Turner & Townsend, Aqua Consultants Ltd, Arcadis Consulting (Uk) Ltd and Chandlerkbs. The contract covers the provision of Commercial Consultancy Services associated with the delivery of its capital investment programme for the period 2015-2021, and potentially out to 2027. Total estimated spend is put at between £12 million to £24 million - Scottish Water's spend per annum on this Lot is likely to vary.
